about

"Late last year, artist, songwriter, and composer Lou Rogai (Lewis & Clarke) released Cathedral, an experimental elegy for chamber ensemble in three movements. As a follow-up, he has recorded a version of the first movement at a friend’s art studio/mill – Susquehanna Studio, Uniondale, PA. Alongside Lou are musicians Joanna Asia Mieleszko, Lou’s son Julian Rogai and Patrick McGee."

"Sometimes, music can lift us away from the physical world and transport the listener into the very fabric of the space it was recorded in. From its opening, this piece does just that, conveying a zen-like meditative inner-stillness as they perform, suspended above the sound of Fiddle Lake Creek. Without wanting to sound too gushing, this is one of the most beautiful and moving pieces of music I’ve heard…Listen to Arrival and read Lou’s own words about this remarkable recording below. Arrival is also our Song of the Day."
